Located to the southeast of UAB's campus, Glen Iris is a sleepy part of town that has become one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in Birmingham to live in.
As Birmingham's oldest "suburb", Glen Iris has no shortage of beautiful historic homes and green spaces that make the neighborhood a pleasure to walk around.
Glen Iris is a short drive to West Homewood which has several grocery stores like Aldi, Publix, Walmart Neighborhood Market, Hometown Asian Supermarket, and Mi Pueblo Grocery.
Along with convenient shopping, Glen Iris is close to Edgewood and SoHo's (downtown Homewood) fantastic restaurants. It is also conveniently close to the Green Springs entry to Interstate 65 so you can easily reach Hoover, Downtown Birmingham, Fultondale, and Alabaster.
